Individual Therapy

Hughes Counseling & Sport Psychology (HCSP) works with late adolescent (15+) and adults on concerns typical of development, issues with mood, stress, relationships, parenting, perinatal concerns, identity, adjustment, family of origin concerns, perfectionism. Please see Our Clinicians page for each clinicians specific areas of focus.

Our clinicians strongly value the safety and trust of the therapeutic relationship. They will do their best to provide a safe environment to explore uncomfortable topics and feelings. We like to use humor and at the same time empathically challenge folks when needed.

Teletherapy

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth services have been more accessible and more utilized than ever before. Folks can be seen virtually through an easy to use and secure platform called Simple Practice. This may be a good option for those interested in sport psychology and general counseling services, but limited transportation, distance, and/or busy work/sport schedules that result in not being able to meet on-site. Some clinical concerns are not appropriate for telehealth, so HCSP  will assess for this initially and throughout the therapeutic process.
